My wife and I have stayed at the Winzig twice and we really enjoyed both visits. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully appointed including a hot plate, utensils and dishware to make dinner. There are, also gas grills available. The property is quiet and well maintained and only about a 1/4 mile from downtown shops.

This place is phenomenal. It’s about a 13 minute walk from the hot springs, the room was super clean with no signs of mold, the kitchenette has just about everything you need for a small trip, and the owner is very responsive and helpful. I requested that the room be decorated for my significant other’s birthday, and the effort that was put in by the owner absolutely exceeded my expectations. If I came back to Lava I would definitely stay here again.

Incredibly nice little place. Rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. I needed help getting a bag upstairs and the owners daughter offered to help me. So nice! When I checked out they graciously reached out and asked if I needed help. They care! I will be back again and will and do tell my friends to stay there. The parking was perfect, close to everything. Loved it, cant say enough about my stay. I am already planning my return trip!

Very cute lodge at the "top" of Main Street. We walked down to Main Street for everything - very convenient, yet far enough to be quiet ( in April, anyway.) The room was comfortable and nicely appointed, very Ikea feel. Ours had chairs out front, plus a balcony area in back with seating and a grill. My only note is that it took a REALLY long time for the water to get hot in the shower, but once it got hot it was nice.

Stayed here last weekend and it was a wonderful experience! Received a text message the day before with our door code; it made coming and going easy. Very clean, bed was amazingly comfortable, extra pillows and blankets provided. It had absolutely everything you could need on vacation. We were even provided with ear plugs and eye masks. One of our new favorite places to stay in Lava.
